These face masks were inspired by our team in Kenya who choose to sew a fresh Kikoy cotton mask each morning because of its effectiveness in blocking sewing dust and comfort while working a full shift. We worked directly with medical leadership at our Beverly Hospital in Massachusetts to develop this design based on many standard medical mask features. We donated the first 1,000 to Beverly Hospital and South End- Hayley House, and donated enough material to home sewers to produce 20,000 masks for their local health care workers.
